SEO News You Need To Know
REAL-TIME PERFORMANCE INSIGHTS -- Google is rolling out a new 24 hours view in Search Console's performance reports, offering data that's just a few hours old. This feature allows you to see how your pages and search queries performed in the past day, giving you insights into clicks, impressions, CTR, and rankings. You can even break down data by queries, pages, and countries to refine your analysis.
The update also includes an hourly overtime graph, perfect for monitoring newly published content or tracking performance trends in real time. With data delays reduced by nearly 50%, this feature is great for content creators and SEO professionals alike. Look for the ’24 hours' tab in your performance report as the rollout continues over the next few months!
GOOGLE'S DECEMBER 2024 SPAM UPDATE -- Google has recently rolled out the December 2024 spam update, which targets sites violating its spam policies and applies globally across all languages. The update, expected to complete within a week, follows closely on the heels of the December 2024 core update. While most sites adhering to Google’s guidelines won't be impacted, sites engaging in spammy practices may see reduced rankings or removal from search results.
This will mark the third spam update of the year and the seventh Google search algorithm update overall in 2024. Google’s SpamBrain AI system continues to evolve to detect and address new forms of spam. If you notice ranking changes, now is a good time to review your site against Google’s spam policies to ensure compliance.
